MHCT-IHIA Teams Up With MSU and Raheemah Foundation
On July 22, 2023, Raheemah Foundation has strengthened its partnership with the Mindanao State University (MSU) System through an MOU involving the MHCT Agency and the International Halal Integrity Alliance (IHIA), led by Prof. Dr. Rafek Saleh.
Under this expanded partnership on Halal, MSU shall conduct food innovation researches which will be supported by Raheemah. On the other hand, the Malaysia-based institutions shall support on technical guidance including Halal certification.
The event also recognizes the researchers of the 7 Halal food products such as plant-based patty, fishballs from kadorog, etc. These food innovations shall then be entrusted to women and youth groups for livelihood support. Congrats to the research adviser Dr. Jane Tranquilan for this initiative.
The event also facilitated to convene the members of the soon to be launched Lanao Halal Network among government agencies and the PLGU of Lanao del Sur.
